Ear plastic surgery belongs amongst the mini invasive types of plastic surgery procedures. It is performed under local anaesthesia, without the need for hospitalization. Childhood age is the ideal age for ear surgery considering the social stigma that may develop later in life. Ear surgery is very quick, although the client may experience some possible discomfort during the postoperative period, since the bandage or headband which is worn on the head for ten days, is affixed to the stitched ears. It is recommended to wear the headband during the night or during sports activities for a period of one month to prevent damage to the ear from accidental contact.
